postcards from malta

and beyond

 PHOTOGRAPHY

Picture postcards became popular in the late 19th century. Although they remained in fashion for a long time, their Golden Age was from about 1890 to 1915.

Nowadays the trend has changed, veering to the instant. Fewer people take their time to pick a postcard, write and mail it.

At the same time, receiving a postcard is a delight and something very personal. A postcard says that someone has genuinely been thinking about you.

I myself am a trained linguist, I love to write. I have always been passionate about photography as well. I was born in Germany, but spent the better part of my life in Brussels, Belgium. When I moved to Malta, a longstanding dream started to take shape. I have started to create my own postcards and would like to take you on a journey around the Maltese Islands and beyond.
